Queen Margrethe II Marks 500 Years Since The Reformation
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark today opened an exhibition at the Round Tower in Copenhagen that celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
Paintings, sculptures and photographs from 25 Danish artists marking interpretations about the Reformation are exhibited in the ‘THESES – Danish Contemporary Artists in Dialogue with the Reformation’ exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition is to “promote understanding of the importance of the Reformation in Danish society, identity and consciousness.”
The Queen toured the exhibition after giving a speech. She is patron of events held this year to mark the anniversary in Denmark.
