Queen Máxima Visits Oranje Fonds Program In Amsterdam
Today, Tuesday February 14, Her Majesty Queen Máxima paid a visit at the “Emma at Work” Foundation in the Emma Childen’s Hospital/Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam.
The foundation, founded in 2006, aims to help young people from fifteen years with a chronic illness or physical disability to get a work experience like a summer job, flexible or permanent job. During the visit the Queen had a roundtable meeting with the young people involved in the project, the volunteer coordinator, coaches, consultants, advisors and directors of several companies where the young people work.
Already thousands of young people were helped by the foundation and its volunteers to find the right job following their talents. For the past two years the Emma at Work Foundation was supported by the Oranje Fonds.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are patrons of the Oranje Fonds.
