New Cyber Security Centre Opened By Queen Elizabeth in London
Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh today visited the new National Cyber Security Centre in London, where the monarch officially opened the centre.
The couple were given a tour of the NCSC, whose aim is “to make the UK the safest place to live and work online by reducing cyber security risk”. They watched a staffer demonstrate how a cyber attack is handled, and visited the ‘home of the future’ where they were informed on how household items can be used in cyber attacks.
Queen Elizabeth – who wore a teal coat, dress and hat with felt flowers – then unveiled a plaque marking the opening, she and Prince Philip then spoke with staff who will work in the NCSC.
