Catherine Makes BAFTA Awards Debut in Alexander McQueen

The Duchess of Cambridge made her BAFTA Awards debut on Sunday evening, accompanying her husband to the prestigious event at the Royal Albert Hall.

She wore a bespoke Alexander McQueen black floral evening gown with a tiered skirt and Bardot neckline. The dress was worn with a pair of statement diamond earrings with a pale pink central stone, and the diamond bracelet Queen Elizabeth received as a wedding gift from Prince Philip.

The Duke and Duchess were welcomed by the chief executive of BAFTA, Amanda Berry, who escorted them down the red carpet and into the Hall where dozens of A-list celebrities were gathered for the awards. During the event, William presented Mel Brook with the BAFTA Fellowship award, present by the Academy to an “individual in recognition of an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, television or games”.

Prince William has been the President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010.
