Queen Margrethe Hosts Gala Banquet For Visiting President of Iceland
The Queen of Denmark hosted Tuesday evening a gala banquet at Amalienborg in honour of the visiting President of Iceland, Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson, on the first day of his state visit to the country.
Prince Henrik, the Crown Prince Couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, and Princess Benedikte were all present for the banquet, as was Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and other members of the Danish government.
Guests feasted on a terrine of turbot and langoustine with fennel and horseradish, deer apples and cabbage, mushroom pie, and a chocolate Dur-Mou cake for dessert.
