Divorce For Louis and Tessy of Luxembourg
The Grand Ducal Court of Luxembourg has announced that Prince Louis, the third son of Grand Duke Henri, and his wife Tessy have made the decision to divorce after ten years of marriage.
“TRH The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess regret to announce that Prince Louis and Princess Tessy have decided to divorce. In these painful circumstances, they rely on the understanding of all to respect the private sphere of the couple and their children,” the statement read.
There had been speculation that all was not well in the couple’s marriage in recent months, as the Princess’s Instagram account rarely featured her husband, and when it did, she referred to him only as a ‘great father’. The couple are also believed to have spent the Christmas holidays apart.
Louis and Tessy, who met in their late teens, were married in September 2006 when the pair were both 20. Their elder son, Gabriel, was born the previous March, with younger son Noah following in September 2007.
