Countess of Wessex Pays Visit to Military Families in Bulford
The Countess of Wessex today made a trip to Bulford, in Wiltshire, where she met with soldiers from the 5th Battalion The Rifles and their families.
She was given a tour of Ward Barracks, the new home base for the 5th Battalion following their recent return from Germany. During her tour, the Countess was shown the newest equipment the 5th Battalion uses, including new personal protection equipment.

She also stopped in at the Mess Hall and spent time speaking with the families of the soldiers, hearing about their experiences in Germany, and got her fair share of baby cuddles in the process!
Sophie is the Royal Colonel of the 5th Battalion.
