Prince William’s First Engagement of the Year: A Visit to Centrepoint

  January 10, 2017 at 2:08 pm by

The Duke of Cambridge has kicked off his 2017 working calendar with a visit to one of his first patronages, Centrepoint. He spent time today at the organisation’s hostel in Northolt, speaking with young people who have received assistance from the organisation.

William watched in on several workshops the hostel hosts, including one called WorkWise that is designed to help homeless people find and keep employment. He heard from individuals who have had positive outcomes thanks to Centrepoint’s assistance, and spoke with mentors and volunteers.

During one workshop, the Duke joined in a game of ‘Who Am I?’ and accurately guessed the blue post-it note stuck to his forehead read David Beckham.

Centrepoint provides shelter and support to homeless people aged 16 to 25.
