Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary today launched a new anti-bullying program in Silkeborg alongside Danish handball player Mikkel Hansen. The purpose of the program, called AntiBulli, is to create strong unity and community spirit in handball clubs around the country, to eliminate exclusion and bullying, and improve children’s welfare while participating in sporting activities.

During the event, Mary and Mikkel both took part in handball exercises with the children from the Silkeborg IF handball club. These included dribbling a ball while holding the hand of a partner, and being led around the court blindfolded by another.

AntiBulli, designed by The Mary Foundation and MH24 – Mikkel Against Bullying Association, gives handball clubs with a website that provides exercises and activities that foster unity while learning and playing the sport. It is estimated that one in eight children stop playing sport because of bullying.
