King Felipe Meets Children Taking Part In ‘What Is A King’ Competition
At the El Pardo Palace today, King Felipe VI received a number of school children who have participated in the thirty-fifth edition of the ‘What Is A King For You?’ competition.
21 winners from around Spain came to the Palace with the art pieces, writings, or multimedia presentations that they had entered for the competition. After personally speaking with the children, King Felipe was then shown each of the winning entries, with the students explaining the meaning behind their piece.
The purpose of the competition is to expand the knowledge of children on the role of the Spanish monarchy, in particular the sovereign, and the role it has in the Constitution.
