Queen Mathilde Visits the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen
Today, Tuesday December 6, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen (Conservatoire Royal d’Anvers), School of Arts du Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool in Antwerpen.
Upon her arrival the Queen was welcomed by Director General of the AP College Pascale De Groote, Cathy Berx, Governor of the Province of Antwerpen and Claude Marinower, Deputy Mayor for Education and Lawsuits of the City of Antwerpen.
The Queen met with students, staff and artistic directors of the Conservatory and she also was informed about the project “Everybody Composer” that aims to involve children between 4 and 12 years to make a musical composition. Queen Mathilde also attended a piano lesson held by the American pianist and teacher Sergei Edelmann and a performance of twelve cellists.
