A memorial service for the late Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster was held today at the Chester Cathedral, with a large contingent of British royals in attendance to remember the late Duke.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Eugenie of York, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra of Kent, and Prince Michael of Kent were among the 1,400 guests present for the service, as was Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece.

During the service led by the Very Reverend Professor Gordon McPhate, Dean of Chester, two of the late Duke’s children – Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke, and Lady Edwina Snow – gave readings. Lady Edwina said of her father, “You taught me so much. Fight for what you believe in. Don’t ever give up.”
