Crown Princess Mary Starts Three-Day Visit to Moldova with WHO
As the patron of the World Health Organisation Regional Office for Europe, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has today begun a three-day visit to Moldova, to highlight the country’s challenges with regards to vaccinations and child and maternal health.
Touching down in Chisinau this afternoon, the Crown Princess – who is accompanied on the trip by WHO’s Regional Director for Europe, Dr. Zuzsanna Jakab – first had a meeting with the Moldovan Health Minister, Ruxanda Glavan.
There was later a dinner at Castel Mimi.
Tomorrow, Princess Mary will visit the country’s vaccine stock centre, the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and a mother and child centre.
