Crown Princess Mary Opens New Mødrehjælpen House
As patron of Mødrehjælpen (Mother’s Help), Crown Princess Mary of Denmark today opened the organisation’s new centre in Vertebra, a district of Copenhagen.
Wearing an all-black outfit, including a black cape with large silver jewelled embellishments on the pockets, the Princess – who has been patron of the organisation since 2007 – spent time speaking with staff and women who have received assistance from the organisation.
Mødrehjælpen provides assistance to families, single mothers and pregnant woman in vulnerable situations. In recent years, the organisation has has increased requests for assistance and therefore has required a new, larger facility to continue their work.
