Prince Harry Visits HIV/AIDS Charity in London – With Some Luxembourg Royals
Continuing the work he began earlier this year to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS, Prince Harry has visited NAZ Project, the oldest and largest charity addressing sexual health in the black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities in England.
The Prince met with NAZ staff and volunteers, learning about their efforts to help the community with their sexual health, particularly how they develop their programs to be culturally sensitive to the people they offer support to.
Later, he met the Joyful Noise Choir, a choir made up of individuals living with HIV. Speaking with them, Prince Harry said that it was imperative to continue talking about the disease and how much progress has been made in relation to treatments: “For some reason though there is a large group of people who don’t know that things have come so far. We have got to do this and people have got to hear it from you, they don’t want to hear it from me.” He then listened in on their rehearsal for the nOSCARS awards that is being held this evening.
Joining Harry at the rehearsal were Prince Louis and Princess Tessy of Luxembourg, the latter of whom was one of the guest speakers at the awards ceremony.
