Princess Haya’s Latest Engagements

On Wednesday, Princess Haya of Jordan, wife of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed, inaugurated the Medcare Women & Children Hospital. The new hospital is dedicated to women and children and it is the first tertiary hospital in the United Arab Emirates to be 90% staffed by women. She visited the paediatric department and their patients.

One day later she met with the First Lady of Niger, Aissata Issoufou, with whom she discussed a range of issues including healthcare, education and humanitarian activities, as well as potential areas of cooperation between humanitarian institutions in Niger and the Al Jalila Foundation and Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital.
