Norway’s Queen Opens Art Exhibition in London

In a collaboration with musician and visual artist Magne Furuholmen, Queen Sonja of Norway has opened an exhibition entitled TEXTURE at the Paul Stolper Gallery in London.

The art works are a thematic combination of text and nature, as these are the two aspects the Queen and Mr Furuholmen work largely with. Graphic prints taken by the Queen during her nature walks have been overlaid with photographs of Mr Furuholmen’s sculpture works.

TEXTURE is being held to support the Queen Sonja Print Award, which is awarded every second year to a young artist by the Queen Sonja Art Foundation to “encourage them to develop both their craft and their unique voice.”
