Joachim and Marie Take A Tour of the Copenhagen UN City
The UN City in Copenhagen received a royal visit today as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie stopped by for a tour of the two campuses.
Shown around the two buildings – which have been designed and built to be energy-efficient – by the UN City communications director Eva Egesborg Hansen, Joachim and Marie took in the different aspects of Campus 1, which provides office space for 1,500 staff from the nine UN organisations which are represented in the City.
They also were shown Campus 2, which is used as UNICEF’s supply division warehouse, and is one of the largest non-food humanitarian warehouses in the world.
