King Philippe Hosts German-Speaking Leaders at Laeken
The King and Queen of the Belgians have welcomed four leaders of German-speaking countries to the Royal Palace of Laeken this evening, for the thirteenth informal summit of German-speaking nations.
Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein, President Joachim Gauck of Germany and President Johann Schneider-Ammann of the Swiss Confederation were present for the welcoming dinner with their spouses (except for Luxembourg’s Grand Duchess), posing for photos with their hosts.
The purpose of the summit is to continue the connection and partnerships between the countries. They will discuss youth entrepreneurship, migration and counter-terrorism.
