Princess Marie Welcomes International Students And Visits Children’s Hospital

Denmark’s Princess Marie had two engagements in the south of the country today, as she officially opened the new multipurpose area at the Hans Christian Anderson Children’s Hospital that is part of the Odense University Hospital, before welcoming this year’s international students to the University of Southern Denmark.

Wearing a simple grey dress with a beige cardigan, the Princess was welcomed with flowers from a gorgeous four-year-old (who behaved in typical toddler fashion by lifting her dress up), before meeting with young patients and their parents from the surgical ward. Marie was also shown around the hospital’s sensory garden.

It was then over to the University, which Marie has had a partnership with since 2009, to welcome the 1,000 students from abroad who will be studying at the University this school year.
