Flashback Friday: A Summer Holiday in Sweden With Grandmama
August 19, 1937: Princess Ingeborg of Sweden, born a Princess of Denmark, helps her three Belgian grandchildren – Prince Baudouin, Princess Joséphine-Charlotte and Prince Albert – climb a mound of dirt and rocks in the garden of her home in Sweden in preparation for a photograph.
The three children – who would eventually become Kings of Belgium and a Grand Duchess of Luxembourg – were Ingeborg’s grandchildren through her third daughter, Queen Astrid of the Belgians, who had died in a car crash two years prior.
