Joachim and Marie Arrive in Brazil Ahead of Rio Olympics

Denmark’s Prince Joachim and Princess Marie have already arrived in Brazil ahead of next weekend’s Olympic Games opening ceremony, for a few official events and a spot of holidaying with their children.

A photo was posted on Instagram of the couple with Princes Nikolai, Felix and Henrik and Princess Athena at the Iguaçu Falls which lie on the border between Brazil and Argentina.

Joachim and Marie also attended two anniversary events over the weekend, helping to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Danish-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo, as well as attending a gala to mark the 125th anniversary of the ‘Northern Lights’ Scandinavian club.
