Pierre Casiraghi in Boating Accident

During a regatta on Lake Garda, Italy on Friday, Pierre Casiraghi was involved in a boating accident that forced his crew to abandon the rest of the competition.

Casiraghi’s yacht, the Malizia, and a media boat crossed paths, causing the yacht overturn upon impact, leading to serious technical damage. Thankfully, none of the crew on the yacht or on the media boat suffered any injuries.

“Mostly it’s very annoying…such an accident should never have to happen,” Pierre said of the incident afterwards.

No doubt such an incident is made even more scary for Pierre when taking into account that his father, Stefano, was killed in a boating accident during a race in 1990.
