Prince Harry Visits King’s College Hospital To Learn More on HIV
A visit to King’s College Hospital in London was on the agenda on July 7 for Prince Harry, as part of his recent focus on HIV/AIDS.
During the visit he met with hospital staff who diagnose and treat HIV, and participated in a roundtable discussion about testing and treatment in the UK, where rates of HIV infection are increasing annually.
“People need to be reminded, particularly with numbers going up. Something needs to change. This is very much an issue that people look at and think, ‘Oh, that’s just sub-Saharan Africa.’ Well no, it’s not,” he said during the visit.
Harry will be speaking at the World AIDS Conference in South Africa later this month.
