National Day Celebrated in Luxembourg
Following yesterday’s evening events to kick-off National Day, the main events were held today in Luxembourg to mark the occasion.
First up was a ceremony at the Salle de concerts Grande-Duchesse Josephine-Charlotte in which awards and honours were presented to citizens of merit. Afterwards was the military parade at Avenue de la Liberté attended by the Grand Ducal and Hereditary Grand Ducal couples. The Te Deum at the Cathédral Notre-Dame followed, as per tradition.

In the evening, a gala dinner was hosted at the Grand Ducal Palace. It appears that bluey-greens and neutrals were the colour scheme for the event, as all five royal ladies donned similar hues. In the bluey-green camp were the Grand Duchess in a repeat mint Elie Saab gown first worn at Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden’s wedding, Princess Tessy in a bespoke Marcin Lobacz teal evening gown with an orange underlay and sweeping train, and Princess Alexandra in a simple strapless blue gown.
Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie wore a cream cowl-neck evening dress with a black satin belt, while Princess Claire donned a recycled blush pink sleeveless evening gown with a floral lace bodice.
