Zara Tindall Not on Selection Short-List For Equestrian Team For Rio
Just days after Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg confirmed she would not be competing in the upcoming Rio Olympic Games, it has also been announced that Zara Tindall has not been shortlisted to represent Team GB on the equestrian team.
It is believed that, although Zara and her mount High Kingdom met the Olympic qualification requirements for selection, the horses’s health issues and fitness is the reason for Zara not being named on the shortlist. High Kingdom was injured last year and has only recently returned to competition.
Zara was part of the silver medal winning eventing team at the London 2012 Olympics.
