Queen Letizia Hands Over New National Flag
Queen Letizia of Spain delivered the new National Flag to Speciality of Engineers Regiment Number 11 this morning in Salamanca, Spain.
The ceremony started with the National Anthem, Queen Letizia then reviews the the line of honors and then the old farewell flag ceremony took place. Queen Letizia then gave the new flag to Colonel chief of the Regiment.
Queen Letizia gave a speech where she thanked the city count and the count council of Salamanca for their donation of the new flag and “for allowing me to share this special moment”. She went on saying “I expressly asked me to thank you faultless delivery and task you carry out for the benefit of all Spaniards,” he said, addressing in particular the site command in Salamanca. This regiment has deployed in recent years in all areas of operations in which Spain has made a commitment to peace and stability. Even today, some colleagues continue to work with the Spanish mission in Iraq. I’d like now to remember them and their families, a singular and so grateful”.
