The bride is a teacher at the Tupou Tertiary Institute and, back in in 2011, she was granted the rank of Commander of the Most Devoted Order of the Royal House. She wore a traditional Tongan wedding outfit comprising a beautiful lace top, royal-blue skirt and a taʻovala – a woven mat or apron normally made from pandanus leaves and hibiscus fibres – with flowers woven onto it.
