90th Birthday Trooping of Colour: How to Stand Out 101

The Queen definitely made sure people could see her on this momentous occasion, the Trooping the Colour to mark her 90th birthday, by wearing neon green this morning. A beautiful outfit composed by Stewart Parvin with a hat by Rachel Trevor-Morgan.

Carriages left Buckingham Palace and travelled down The Mall to inspect the colour at Horse Guards Parade. The Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal and the Duke of Cambridge rode on horseback and respective colonels of their regiments.

The Duchess of Cambridge repeated Princess Charlotte’s christening outfit with a beautiful Philip Treacy hat, while the Countess of Wessex wore Pucci with a JPMillinery fascinator. The Wessex children joined their parents in the carriage ride.

Traveling back to watch the spectacular fly past on the balcony, Her Majesty was joined by her large troop of extended family, most of whom we saw yesterday. Princess Charlotte made her first appearance on the balcony and Prince George wore an outfit previously worn by his father to Prince Harry’s christening. Two 21 gun salutes were fired, 21 for the Monarch and 21 for Her Majesty herself. The family then watched the traditional RAF flypast.

We now head in to tomorrow for the Patrons Lunch on The Mall!
