A Language Lesson With Queen Máxima
Today, Friday June 10, the students of the foundation Language aan Zee had a new classmate for the day: Queen Máxima.
The Queen paid a working visit to the foundation which, with the help of volunteers, teaches the Dutch language to refugees, asylum seekers and foreign women. Upon her arrival Queen Máxima had a meeting with members of the staff about their work and commitment in the help of the people in need to learn a new language in order to be involved in the life of the community.
Then the Queen took part in three lessons, she interacted with the students asking questions and they expressed to the Queen some of their issues about the pronunciation of some words. Partners of Language aan Zee are, among others, the Municipality of The Hague and the Orange Fund.
