A Blue-Clad Bea Pays Visit to York
Princess Beatrice today was in York to visit a number of organisations in the city. She first stopped at York Minister where she met with the cast and crew of the production ‘Mystery Plays’.

150 actors are involved in the production, with Beatrice – dressed in a powder blue quilted skirt and a pussy-bow blouse – meeting those playing ‘God’ and the ‘Devil’. The Duke of York is their patron.

It was then over to the York Theatre Royal, of which the Princess is patron, for the official opening of the theatre after a £6million redevelopment. She was also treated to a short performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest performed by students from Acomb Primary School.

The final stop on Bea’s York tour was to the York Chocolate Story shop, where she was shown the chocolate making facilities and tried her hand a creating bumblebees (how apt!) out of chocolate.
