The Pope Welcomes Sheikha Mozah To The Vatican

This morning, Pope Francis welcomed Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser, president of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in a private audience in the Vatican.

The meeting which lasted about 30 minutes, Sheikha Mozah spoke to the Pope about her involvement in education and social development through her foundation in Qatar and on the International scene.

After the meeting, Sheikha Mozah gave The Pope an Arab manuscript of the Gospels. The Pope gave Sheikha Mozah a medallion depicting the olive tree of peace and the Arabic edition of his encyclical Laudato si’.
