Queen Mathilde and Queen Máxima Attend Session of the Queen Elisabeth Competition Piano Finals
At the invitation of Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of the Belgians, last night Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands was present at the third session of the piano finals for the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition at the Centre for Fine Arts BOZAR in Brussels.

After posing for the pictures, Queen Mathilde and Queen Máxima listened to the performances of the piano finalists. The finalists of last night were Aljoša Jurinić from Croatia and Chi Ho Han from Korea.
The music competition was started in 1937 by the great-grandmother of King Philippe, Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, in memory of her good friend Eugène Ysaÿe, a Belgian concert-violinist. In 1951 the competition was renamed Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in honour of Queen Elisabeth.
The international music competition aims to help the launch of the career of young talented musicians.
