Jordanian Royals Celebrate 70th Anniversary of Independence
Joined by family members and senior Jordanian officials, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan attended on Wednesday the annual Independence Day ceremony that took place at the royal palaces in the capital Amman.

The couple were also accompanied by their children, Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem, who made his first appearance in the celebrations this year.
During the ceremony King Abdullah II distributed medals on distinguished organizations and individuals in recognition of their great achievements in different fields.
This year’s celebration is remarkable for the Hashemite Royal Family as it coincides with the Centenary of the Great Arab Revolt, which was launched by their great-great grandfather Sharif Hussein Bin Ali. It will also be followed by a huge military parade on June 2nd.
