Romanian Royals Visit Pelişor Castle
Following the celebrations for the 150th Anniversary of the Royal House of Romania earlier this month, Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Margareta, Custodian of the Crown, together with other members of the Romanian Royal Family returned to Pelişor Castle late last week to view the exhibition being held there entitled “Architecture and Kingship” and to thank everyone involved in organising the celebrations. The royal party also took a tour round the castle, visiting the Gold Room, where Queen Maria’s heart is enshrined.
Crown Princess Margareta was accompanied by her husband, Prince Radu, two of her sisters, Princess Maria and Princess Sofia and Archduchess Maria Magdalena of Austria who is the granddaughter of King Ferdinand I of Romania and who took part in the celebrations.
The Custodian of the Crown, wearing an attractive cream and black outfit with an abstract design on the skirt, thanked the curators and employees of both Pelişor Castle and the nearby Peles Museum for helping to make the celebrations so memorable. Also given thanks were members of the police and soldiers who took part in the celebrations and ceremonial events.
