Queen Rania Buys Chocolates In “Charming Old” Bruges
King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan finished their state visit to Belgium yeserday with a visit to the town of Zeebrugge and the city of Bruges in West Flanders. in Bruges the royals visited a school and the Memling museum. Afterwards they walked through the town and participated with the crowds. The royal party was greeted by the governor of the province and by the mayor of Bruges. The two Queens also visited the chocolaterie of Dominique Persoone. According to the owner, Queen Rania ‘is crazy about chocolates’, especially the pralines were a succes. The Queen immidiately placed an order for several boxes, which were quickly wrapped so the Queen Rania could take them home to Jordan.
Queen Mathilde wore a pink outfit by Esmeralda Ammoun, a Belgian designer with roots in Lebanon. Queen Rania wore an outfit outfit by Dior which she paired with an eye catching red handbag from Louis Vuitton. On her twitter page, Queen Rania described Bruges as “a charming old city”.
