Family Welcome for King Abdullah II and Queen Rania in Belgium

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan arrived in at Melsbroek military airport, Belgium on tuesday, a day before the official state visit starts.The king and queen were welcomed by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde at their private residence, Laeken Castle. In the evening the palace released a photo of the two royal couples and Princess Elisabeth, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Éleonore.

The official state visit will start today and will last until tomorrow. This morning there will be the official welcome in Brussels. The king and queen will lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. There will also be a meeting with Belgium’s prime minister Michel. In the evening there will be an official banquet at Laeken Castle. The Jordanian king and queen will visit the university of Louvain la Neuve and the airbase of Florennes. On thursday they will finish the state visit in Zeebrugge and Brugge.
