Princess Laurentien Brings Her Family to Her Book Launch
Yesterday, Wednesday May 11, Princess Laurentien presented a a new book. The princess co-authored the book with Jeroen Smit, a Dutch journalist and Professor of Journalism at the University of Groningen.The Princess was accompanied by her husband, Prince Constantijn and their three children: Eloise, Claus-Casimir and Leonore.
In the book, titled “Nog lang en gelukkig”, “Happily ever after”, Princess Laurentien and Jeroen Smit talked with several leaders about their dilemmas, difficulties and doubts of the future. Then their responses were submitted to nineteen children between nine and twelve years old. Afterwards the children elaborated ideas and opinions to solve the doubts about the future expressed by leaders.
The book wants to demonstrate to the adults the importance to listen to the children.
During the presentation, Countess Eloïse of Orange-Nassau, the eldest daughter of Princess Laurentien and Prince Constantijn, read an excerpt of the book to the audience gathered for the event.
