He’s A Winner! Harry and Team Victorious at Sentebale Polo Match
Ahead of the Invictus Games next week, Prince Harry is spending some time in Florida also promoting his charity Sentebale. The Prince today participated in the annual Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, which saw the Sentebale team take victory.
Playing at a rain-soaked Valiente Polo Farm, three teams – Prince Harry’s, a local team, and a team led by Argentinian polo player Nacho Figueras – took part in the round-robin event that raised money for the charity.
After the matches were concluded Prince Harry then attended a dinner where he delivered a speech about Sentebale, announcing that the charity will be expanding its work to Botswana.
“We are working with established partners and government departments elsewhere across southern Africa, and I’m delighted to confirm that we will be expanding our camp programme into Botswana, a country I have been visiting regularly for almost two decades,” he said, before saying that Sentebale was aiming to provide one million hours of support by 2020 – “an ambitious goal” as described by Harry.
