Lightsabers Up – William and Harry Visit ‘Stars Wars’ Set
Princes William and Harry were just like any other mega-fans as they visited the set of the upcoming Star Wars film at Pinewood Studios outside of London.
The brothers were given a tour of the Creature Effects room by one of the film series’ newest stars, Daisy Ridley, where they saw staff working on the costumes and moulds of creature characters. “It’s just amazing the detail in it, it really is,” William said as he watched a Wookie head being given hair.
It was then on to the prop room, which was probably the two Princes’ favourite part of the visit as they got to duel each other with lightsabers. Harry moaned about always being “the bad one” when his lightsaber went red when switched on, before he began poking at his brother.
The last part of the tour was to one of the sets being used for current filming where they met the original Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, and John Boyega, one of the newest film’s stars. Harry hopped into one of the set planes, while William curiously interacted with BB-8.
Chewbacca, played by Joonas Suotamo, was in full costume and captivated the royal visitors’ attention, before pulling them into gentle hugs.
