Four Generations: A New Photo to Mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday
A new photograph of showing four generations of the Windsor line has been released by Buckingham Palace, ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday on Thursday.
Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George (who is standing on a set of blocks to make him around the same height as his seated relatives) flank the Queen as her three direct heirs, all four wearing shades of blue and white.
The photo, taken in June last year by Ranald Mackechnie in the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace, has been used to create a stamp sheet which will go on sale with several other stamps to mark the occasion.
