The Cambridges Have a Day Full of Nature and Animals in India

It was a day full of nature and conservation for the Cambridges as they embarked on day four of their tour of India.

The couple first went on a drive through the Kaziranga National Park, where they stayed the night, seeing a number of different animal and bird species. Kate had her own camera with her in the SUV and was seen taking shots on a number of occasions through the drive.

Once the drive was complete, the Duke and Duchess met with the park’s rangers that work to protect the animals living there, then they headed over to the village of Pan Bari. Here they spoke with the local community about what it is like to live on the edge of a national park and how that impacts their lives.

Then came the event which gave the media the most interesting photos of the day – a visit to the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation & Conservation, where William and Kate spent time learning about the organisation’s work and feeding the orphaned baby elephants and rhinos.

Finally the pair visited the Elephant Family charity to help launch the 2017 ‘Elephant Parade’ that will see 200 painted elephant sculptures dispersed around the country to raise funds to help endangered Asian elephants. Both William and Kate picked up a paintbrush to add their own touch to one of the elephant sculptures.

Kate wore two simple outfits throughout the day, starting with a pair of khaki jeggings and a spot print white shirt while at the Park, before changing into a printed dress from Topshop for the afternoon engagements.
