Green Lace and Red Patterns for Kate on Third Day in India

The Duchess of Cambridge had three outfit changes on her third day in India, as she and her husband William spent the day in New Delhi and Kaziranga.

First up was a red printed floor-length dress trimmed with navy from Glamorous, worn as the couple visited one of the centres of the Salaam Baalak Trust, which aids street children that no longer have a home. William and Kate spoke with some of these children, learning about why they needed the Trust’s help, and spent time doing various activities with them – playing karom and drawing.

Then it was on to a private lunch with the Prime Minster of India, Narendra Modi, at Hyderabad House. Kate changed into a mint green lace Temperley dress paired with nude heels, a gold clutch and citrine and diamond earrings from Kiki McDonough that were apparently a special edition to mark the birth of Princess Charlotte.

After lunch the couple had a private meeting with victims of domestic and female violence, and women who are working to improve on women’s rights in the country.

The Duke and Duchess then flew to Assam, where they were given a very warm welcome that included traditional gold woven scarves. Here they attended a celebration of the Assamese New Year, Bohag Biru. William and Kate watched a number of cultural dance performances, and were quite taken by a little boy dressed in traditional wear who decided he was going to welcome the royals by stepping on their toes!

Kate chose a heavily patterned maxi dress from Anna Sui, in blue, green and black tones, for the evening engagement.
