Prince Harry Announces UK’s Invictus Team Outside Buckingham Palace
What better place to announce the team to represent the United Kingdom at next month’s Invictus Games than in front of Buckingham Palace?
This was clearly the thought process as Prince Harry today revealed the athletes who will be competing under the Union Jack, saying that he was really looking forward to the event that will take place between May 8-12 in Florida.
Almost all the 110 athletes – who are military men and women wounded or injured in the line of duty – were present for the photocall, and spent time talking and joking with the Prince as he asked how their training regimes were going.
Prince Harry also officially handed over Invictus flag and hosting duties to the captain of the Team USA, Will Reynolds, as a representative of the next host nation.
