A Port of Call for Princess Marie of Romania!

HRH Princess Marie of Romania was the city of Constanta yesterday, where she visited several of the local institutions.

Constanta is a large port city on the Black Sea, where Romania’s only piece of coast can be found.  It is said to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in Romania and is one of the largest ports in Europe.

The princess met students and teachers at the Carol I College, visited a library where some new volumes on royalty were released and spent time meeting minorities from the County of Constanta.  Of-course, no visit to a port would be complete without seeing some ships and Princess Marie finished off her visit as guest of the shipyard where she toured the docks!
