Sunny in Yellow: Queen Elizabeth Joined by Family for Easter Mass

Brightening up the day in a sunny yellow coat and matching hat, Queen Elizabeth II attended the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor this morning alongside a number of her extended family.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were driven to church, as was Princess Anne, but as per normal, other members of the family make the journey on foot from Windsor Castle.

The Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex came together, while a larger pack formed of the Countess of Wessex, Vice-Admiral Timothy Laurence, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of York, Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn, and Peter and Autumn Phillips brought up the rear.

Fashions were kept on the simple side this year, with all of the ladies opting for simple coats in block colours. Sophie and Autumn joined the Queen in bright, sunny colours – red for Sophie and pink for Autumn, paired with black and grey accessories, respectively.

Beatrice, Eugenie and Louise – who were animatedly chatting as they headed to church – chose neutral colour palettes of grey, navy and cream. Louise paired her cream coat with a black Jane Taylor beret, while her York cousins donned a hats in dusty rose and bronze.
