Spanish King and Queen Offer Condolences at Belgian Embassy
King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain have visited the Belgian Embassy in Madrid to pay their respects to the victims of yesterday’s terrorist attacks in Brussels.
The couple met with the Belgian Ambassador to Spain, Pierre Labouverie, before signing the condolence book.
Their message read, “Given the terrible terrorist attacks yesterday in Brussels, we want above all to express our condemnation and abhorrence firmly. The pain of Belgium is also the pain of Spain today. Brussels’ pain is pain across Europe. Our unit is also in our strength against aggression to life, liberty and our peaceful coexistence. With all our love and solidarity we convey our support for all affected families and our mourning for the victims.”
