Marie-Chantal of Greece Opens New Boutique
Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece opened a new boutique in Beverly Hills earlier this week. This is the third US boutique for the talented children’s clothing designer, who has three other boutiques in London and Greece. The event was quite the star-studded occasion, drawing celebrities Minnie Driver and Sharon Stone, according to a new article in Hello! Magazine. The night before the boutique opening, a dinner was given in honor of the princess at Cecconi Restaurant, by her sister, Alexandra von Furstenburg. When asked about her inspiration and ideas, Marie-Chantal stated that she looked to the outfits she and her sisters wore when they were younger, as well as her daughter, 12 year-old Maria-Olympia, who often encourages her to incorporate polka-dots and other girly details.
The princess began designing children’s clothing in 2001, and has turned her artistic abilities into a thriving business. She opened a London boutique at the end of 2008, not long after giving birth to her fifth child, Aristide. Please click here for more information about Marie-Chantal’s clothing line and boutiques.
