Arab Royals Attend the Conclusion of Raad Al-Shamal
Many royals and leaders from the Arab and Islamic countries gathered Friday in Saudi Arabia along with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and participated in the closing ceremony of the military exercise “Raad Al-Shamal” (North Thunder).
The ceremony which was organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took place at the King Khalid Military City in Hafr Al-Batin area. It was attended by Their Majesties King Abdullah II of Jordan and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Among the attendees were also the presidents of Egypt, Yemen and Sudan along with other leaders from the twenty Arab and Islamic countries who are members of the Islamist alliance, led by Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism.
The event contained an aerobatic and land shows carried out by the Saudi and coalition fighter jets along with various land and sea forces that belong to the participating countries.
The North Thunder also known as “Raad Al-Shamal” was launched on February 27th is the largest military exercises in the region’s history in terms of the number of participating countries and forces.
