Book-Lover Camilla Stops By Not One, But Two Libraries
The Duchess of Cornwall, who has been on a spate of literacy-related events these past few weeks, kept up the trend today, dropping by two different libraries in London.
At the Islington Central Library early in the day, Camilla – wearing a steel blue dress and matching jacket – met with pupils from three local schools and gave them a sneak preview of a new book that has been published by the Book Trust to promote and encourage reading from a young age.
She also spent a fair bit of time speaking with the older students about the books they are reading, with one parent telling the media the Duchess was “genuinely interested” in the children’s responses.
Later in the day, the Duchess joined up with her husband, the Prince of Wales, for a reception at the Lambeth Palace Library hosted by the Friends of the National Libraries.
